Found in the Scrogveni Chapel in Padua, these frescos focus on the Life of Christ.
This particular fresco, Lamentation, focuses on the mourning of Christ's followers at the event of his death. The angels in heaven even join in the sad affair. Most captivating about this fresco is the look on the woman's face holding the feet of Jesus. Her face is absolutely distraught and she just clutches a foot of her Lord. I feel that this single character is enough to deliver the emotion of the entire scene.
