Florence Cathedral, Cambio

In 1296, Arnolfo Cambio designed the original plans for the Florence Cathedral. However, those plans were modified in 1357 by another architect named Francesco Talenti whose design called for an octagonal shaped dome. This cathedral is actually connected to the Baptistry from a few entries back. This cathedral is also the home church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Florence.
